The prompt
Help me write my own self-assessment for my performance review. My role and the period it covers: MY ROLE AND REVIEW PERIOD. Use this: - The goals or objectives I was set: MY GOALS - What I did, with results, numbers and feedback I received: WORK NOTES - What didn't go well or where I want to grow: GROWTH AREAS - My company's self-assessment questions or rating scale: REVIEW FORM QUESTIONS (optional) Write: 1. A three-sentence summary of my period that I could read out in the review meeting. 2. Results against each goal: one short paragraph per goal, leading with the outcome and the evidence, and saying plainly if a goal was missed and why. 3. Two or three examples of how I worked with others or helped the team. 4. One or two honest growth areas, each with what I've already started doing about it. 5. Three goals for the next period, each specific and measurable, and one thing I'd like support with from my manager. If REVIEW FORM QUESTIONS is given, answer those questions in their order instead, following the same rules. Rules: - Use only the work and results in my notes. Don't invent achievements, numbers or praise; write "add evidence" in capitals where a claim needs backing. - Sound confident and factual, neither boastful nor self-critical: "I delivered", not "I tried to".
