The prompt
Write a handoff brief for the customer success or onboarding team taking over an account I've just closed, so they start with everything that was said during the sale. Use this: - Customer and deal: ACCOUNT AND DEAL - My notes from the sale (calls, emails, demos, objections, anything promised): SALES NOTES - People on the customer side and their roles: STAKEHOLDERS - Kick-off or go-live date: KICK-OFF DATE Write a brief of one to two pages with these sections: 1. Deal at a glance: product, plan, contract length, value, date signed. 2. Why they bought: the business problem and the goals they'll judge us on, in their words where I have them. 3. What we promised: every commitment on features, timelines, integrations, pricing or support, each marked "in contract" or "said verbally". 4. Stakeholders: a table of name, role, what they care about and how involved they'll be. 5. Risks: up to five, each with a warning sign and a suggested next step. 6. First 30 days: a week-by-week plan to the first result the buyer will notice. 7. Open questions for me before kick-off. Rules: - Don't invent promises, names or dates. Anything unclear goes under open questions. - Flag any promise that sounds outside standard scope, so success can raise it early. - Keep what you say about contacts to their work role and priorities.

Example
- ACCOUNT AND DEAL
- Fieldmark Surveys, 3-year Growth plan, 40 seats, signed 14 October 2026

- STAKEHOLDERS
- Dana Okoro, Head of Operations (champion); Marc Ellis, CFO (signed); IT lead not yet named
- KICK-OFF DATE
- 3 November 2026
How to use it
- Fill in the blanks above, or paste the prompt into your AI chat and replace the words in capitals there. How blanks work
- Save it to your library to use it again. Your copy keeps the blanks, so next time you only fill them in.
- Use it where you chat. With the Save My Prompts extension, pick the prompt inside ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and fill the blanks there.
