The prompt
Write a job description for JOB TITLE AND TEAM that a strong candidate can read in two minutes and know whether to apply.
Use this:
- What the person should achieve in their first year: FIRST-YEAR OUTCOMES
- Skills and experience we need, and what would only be a bonus: REQUIREMENTS
- Location, working pattern, salary range and benefits: TERMS AND BENEFITS
- How to apply and the hiring steps: APPLICATION PROCESS (optional)
Write these sections, in this order:
1. Job title, location, working pattern and salary range on one line.
2. About the role: 3-4 sentences on why it exists and what success looks like.
3. What you'll do: 5-7 responsibilities, each starting with a verb.
4. What you'll need: no more than 6 must-haves, each one testable at interview.
5. Nice to have: 2-4 items, with a line saying people who don't meet all of these should still apply.
6. What we offer: pay, benefits, flexibility and growth, using only what I've given.
7. How to apply: steps, timeline and an offer of adjustments during the process.
8. Inclusive-language check: a short list of words or requirements I should reconsider, with a reason and a suggested change for each.
Rules:
- No years-of-experience counts, degree demands or "native speaker" unless I've said the job truly needs them; prefer skills.
- Avoid gender-coded and jargon words ("rockstar", "ninja", "young and dynamic").
- Don't invent benefits, salary figures or company facts; write "to confirm" where something is missing.Fill in the blanks
